Appointments & Referrals

We accept referrals from colleagues for complicated HIV- and other infectious diseases cases, as well as routine HIV patient self-referrals. New patients require an hour’s consultation, and can generally be assisted within ±2 weeks. Established patients needing shorter visits may potentially be accommodated sooner. Appointments are granted at the discretion of the treating specialist.

NB: Practical arrangements due to the Covid-19 pandemic

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, for the protection of our staff and patients, we have implemented certain changes at our practice, as per Netcare policy:

• New patients require consultation in person at the rooms
• During national or local restriction of movement, established patients may request to be consulted telephonically
• Please wear your cloth mask if you will be consulting at the rooms
• Please do not arrive in the rooms more than 5 minutes before your appointment time – if you are early, kindly first wait in your car
• When in the waiting room, please practice social distancing of 1.5 m
• We will strive to minimise transmission risk to you by cleaning chairs and counters between patients
